There was a report that some central american/Caribbean nations might not be able to fund a team for qualifying.

I’m ok with the new format actually. Correct me if I’m wrong, but this would give Canada a chance to qualify. Would suck not to see Davies ball out at the World Cup.

I don't think I'd be able to handle Canada making it further than us in a World Cup.

Would suck to not play Mexico home and home. US soccer needs all the big game excitement it can get.

I don’t like it. It resembles Africa’s format which is probably the worst in the world

This is true, although even if you don’t finish first in your group you can still qualify, which makes it slightly different.

Basically, we would never have to play Mexico and Costa Rica.
You don't get better playing minnows

Is 4 games spread over the course of a year really going to make you better?
And Costa Rica kind of sucks right now. If Canada is put in Costa Rica's group, then Canada will easily win that group.

Was told by someone with knowledge of CONCACAF that the messaging they are getting is to plan for an extended World Cup qualifying period in December. Not necessarily a tournament but games squeezed into an extra international window. This would be in all confederations.

You get better by making the World Cup.
Also, playing Mexico and Costa Rica for a millionth time in our history time won't suddenly make our players better.
Terrible argument on your part.

@TaylorTwellman
Hearing @Concacaf WCQ will be 8 teams with the Top 5 already qualified and the remaining 3 having to qualify via a pre-tournament. October to June with 14 games which all of this means Canada should be involved in this WCQ cycle.
