Y'all are a bit on the touchy side tonight baws. I apologise. Let me try to rephrase. Trump = whatever stupid name we are deciding to use for the media/fake news, yet people need something to believe in so bad they can't even begin to question anything he says. That doesn't seem good

Of course, if you had read through the board just in the past few days, you'd have seen the debates among different factions regarding how Trump should respond and/or handle the issues on the streets. People here do not all agree with Trump all the time here, no matter how much you want to marginalize the posters and their viewpoints.

I get that and appreciate the ones who question. In some people's eyes whatever he says is the truth and he can do no wrong and that's downright scary and sad. Couple that with the bashing of the media doing the same thing but not to their liking or views and it's all extremely hypocritical. Those people seem to be too far gone to be reasoned with

Some would say the same has been true about the people on the left and their politicians. Many saw the Obama era the same way you see the Trump era. Both are true far too often, in fact. As for the media, the vast majority earn the dislike and distrust unfortunately.

I think the only factually correct statement would be those cities are primarily Democratic politicians but correlating that to what is happening is asinine and caters to his audience and narrative too easily. People will eat it up however

Or he wants people affected most by police brutality in these cities that have been run by Democrats, many of whom are POC, to think about the fact that Democrats have run the cities for decades now and yet the police forces which they oversee are still a problem. Maybe people in the cities will then hold those local politicians accountable.
