The part where 9X is "adjusted" for population up to 45X is a prime example of how easy it is to manipulate people with statistics. Multiplying the 9X by 5 (the difference in population) is meaningless. It just reflects the fact that the majority is more likely to be attacked at random by virtue of just being the majority.

As a simple example, take a population of 100, 83 white and 17 black (same ratio as 61% to 12.5%). If everyone is a criminal and everyone else is attacked at random, we will end up with the 83 whites attacking 14 blacks and 69 whites, and the 17 blacks attacking 14 whites and 3 blacks. It's 14 both ways all else equal. In this case, would you inflate the minority population's numbers by 5X given that everyone is a criminal and all attacks are random?

Someone post this on Facebook and Twitter and see what happens.

What does the media gain by feeding this narrative? I just don't get it.

Just so you know, the cause of death table has some waaaay off homicide numbers, at least according to the source it cites. The table says 9730 black homicide victims (8708 by black offenders). But the FBI database the table cites ( (FBI stats) says 2870 black homicide victims (2570 by black offenders). So that’s off by a multiple of at least 3x

Anyways, y'all are doing Korkstand terribly wrong in this entire thread. In every instance where has explained numbers, stats, and how they work, he is correct. And he is also correct on the magnitude of the deception and has laid out exxactly why and how the numbers are manipulated.
I don't know this guy. You'll not find a single interaction I've had with him on here, but damn, y'all are insufferable. He is right!

That said, he can be right, and everyone who disagrees with him can also be right. And I believe that's the case here. Wanna say blacks perpetrate an unusually high percentage of crime for their population size? You're right. There's no debating this.
