Just some random fun facts that you might not have known to take our minds away from the shitty situation we live in. Feel free to add some more.
- The northernmost point of Brazil is closer to Boston than it is to the southernmost point of Brazil.
- The easternmost point of Brazil is closer to Spain (canary islands) than it is to the westernmost point of Brazil.
- Venezuela is closer to the US than to Mexico.

All of the planets in the solar system could fit inside the distance from the earth to the moon.

This is kinda disingenuous.

Jelly beans are so shiny because they're coated with shellac, which is made from insect poop.

I love fun map facts!
Always a good one: most of Ohio is east of Atlanta.

I’ll buy it. Earth to moon is 238k miles. Jupiter is 86k miles in diameter. That’s crazy.
ETA:
Mercury 3k miles dia
Venus 7.5k
Earth 7.9k
Mars 4.2
Jupiter 86k
Saturn 72k
Neptune 30k
Pluto 2.4k
Uranus 31k
Total 243k
So yes, all other planets fit.
Also, Saturns rings add an additional 60k miles dia.

I’m not arguing either way but clearly this is an “as the crow flies” argument.

Agreed. Showing routes via roads that curve is irrelevant.

So it's further for a crow to fly in a straight line than it is to drive it on highways with turns involved?

Again, not going into details on this one. Other things to think about:
Where is each measurement taken from? Houston is huge. You could use the extreme East or west locations of each city to make an argument. The fact that they’re really really close To the same is what’s cool.
“ATCF” using the dot where the maps app says each city is:
675 Houston to El Paso
628 El Paso to San Diego
ETA: #STCDB
