Know it's a long shot but the store clerk and I had a gun pulled on us yesterday at O'Reilly Auto Parts on Burbank in Baton Rouge as we tried to catch the license plate numbers of a guy stealing.

VEHICLE: Dark Honda CR-V. Oval AAA sticker on the rear bottom right of the vehicle (in photo). Tinted rear windows.

Pulled the gun on me twice — once as I went around the back to catch his license plate (he had removed it) and another time as seen in the photos.

I know the chance is slim to none and the pictures are terrible but on the off-chance you see this vehicle around town a call to the police would be great.

How dare you infringe on this peaceful protestor's privacy sir. Absolutely deplorable. You need to think long and hard about what you've done.

Are you leaning towards his passenger window snapping pics while he has a gun pointing at you?

Hopefully the OT sleuths can at least get you a year on that CRV.

Did he steal your wallet?

Thanks. I know it's a long shot but this sickens me. Walked right in the store, grabbed what he wanted, and walked out. Try to get a license plate # these days and have a gun stuck in your face.

I figure crowd sourcing attempts to ID people like this in our community and saving others from having to deal with this kind of violence is not a terrible idea.

Next time don’t play Barney Fife and follow the guy out. That’s a good way to get yourself killed over some stupid auto parts.

I ran outside behind his vehicle and to the driver's side as he was getting in. He turned around and pulled out a gun and aimed it and me.

I had to duck and go behind his vehicle but didn't want to be crushed as he flipped it in reverse. I quickly ran around the side and popped up as he aimed the gun at the store clerk. I ran up to catch video of his face and when he turned the gun on me I ducked down ran off and helped another customer inside.

Maybe not the brightest move—but heat of the moment and wanted some evidence.

What kind of worthless POS even thinks about walking into a store and stealing?

I understand that sentiment. And I believe it is the right move for most (especially those with families to support). But I also am tired of people getting away with blatant acts of theft and violence with little to no recourse. And then being free to repeat the same actions time and time again.

frick you, bitch. Anyone doing armed robberies needs to be brought to justice. Apparently, the guy is not a pussy like you are. I would have done the same.

Not my store so not sure. Police arrived and took statements. Sure O'Reilly has some—but honestly—most companies don't do anything with the information.

I own a company in Dallas and the NAPA store catacorner to our location was robbed two weeks ago. Commercial stores like that just rely on the insurance and move on — with little interest or effort in catching the perpetrator.

Happens all the time with trash. I saw some guy the other day steal a bunch of shite from Racetrac while I was holding the door open for him. I didn't realize it until he walked by.

You’re a fricking idiot if you are willing to risk your life over some windshield wipers. It has nothing to do with being a pussy.

I was wondering this too. Glad you're ok, man.
