Also, you're likely going to get more if you're down in St. Amant vs Prairieville.
I’m just north of St. Amant actually. The Lake Martin/HWY 431 area. It’s a Prairieville address but it takes me much longer to get to Prairieville than downtown ( ) St. Amant.

Right, so the farther SE you are, the better odds of seeing worse weather. Still shouldn't be too bad. Good warm up to think about hurricane prep later in the season.

Yep. That’s how I’m seeing it. I went ahead and got gas for the generator just in case we happen to have a power outage but I’m really expecting something like Barry or even less.

Duke, not to be nitpicky but how far east are talking??? Mississippi or farther east or "just" east of BR?

Yeah we’re getting some nice size bands rolling through. Landfall will be much sooner than they are predicting
I’m saying early Sunday morning landfall
Seems like an uneducated guess.

I-55 to the AL/MS line is the area that'll get the worst of it as the center is projected to go now. Farther west and stronger, the more BR and the eastern burbs could get into some stronger stuff.
I'll say this much, if I was chasing this, I would go to Gulfport.

Of course it is. I have no data to back it up, but I’m a risk taker and a gambler. I usually go with my intuition and I’m usually 50% right.
Just like the wishcasters and paid weather men.
Anyone can guess and predict the weather. Some people get paid some don’t. The end result is usually the same

This Trump commercial that keeps playing on the weather channel is making me rigid.

not really dude. this thing blowing in faster than they are saying. just you wait. @tgrbaitin08 usually wrong but he is right here

A lot of the bad weather is out ahead of the center. It will blow through and then when the center gets to your latitude it won’t be too bad because there’s no convection. So it will seem like it arrives early because the worst weather will arrive ahead of the center.

I reject the premise that real meteorologists are wrong as often as the general public.
