Can Marcel Brooks become an Isaiah Simmons type player?

Brooks was never used in a traditional safety role as a freshman like Simmmons was. I don't see Brooks beefing up to 240 like Simmons either.

Definitely his high school tape showed he has a bunch of tools on the coverage side and this year he proved he can be an above average pass rusher. It's a matter of where Bo wants to use him. With all the depth at the DB position we probably won't see a lot of coverage opportunities, but will be able to get after the qb a lot.

He has a lot of potential, but he's not on that level.

Not as big but yes I believe he can become that kind of versatile Swiss Army knife. We’ve already seen he can rush the passer, he’s slated to start at LB, and his HS tape shows his ability to cover and ball hawk. I’m excited to see him play this year he’s got potential to be special.

He will be on the field making plays. Don’t care who you wanna compare him to.
