There's 'mounting evidence' Louisiana's coronavirus restrictions maybe weren't 'justified'

From the Advocate...

quote:

Of the ten states with the highest COVID-19 death rate per 100,000 residents, 9 of 10 are run by Democrats and have employed the harshest stay at home restrictions.

quote:

A study conducted by the state of New York earlier this month found 66% of COVID-19 hospitalizations came from those sheltered at home. Another 18% of the hospitalized were previously nursing home patients. "We were thinking that maybe we were going to find a higher percentage of essential employees who were getting sick because they were going to work, that these may be nurses, doctors, transit workers,” New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. “That's not the case, and they were predominantly at home."

Not opening on May 1st was stupid. And dumber is the 21 day wait time to move to Phase 2

Nah. A few colleges may do that, but regular school will happen for the rest

Just to play Saban's advocate, the harsher restrictions could have been in response to those states being hotspots.

So the states with the biggest cities were hit the hardest

It seems fairly obvious that the states hit hardest would have employed the strictest restrictions

yeah the areas hit hardest are more DEM b/c it's much more likely to be an urban area. urban areas = DEM areas

Not so sure on that one. Ohio, Florida, Texas, and Georgia all have large cities.

Louisiana should have had even tougher restrictions. The great asymptomatic virus was upon us.

Elected officials taking advantage of a crisis? In a Democratic State? Shocked, I’m shocked

Yeah... exactly what I think when discussing Delaware, Rhode Island, and Connecticuts of our nation.

What's really most interesting to me is how many ignorant people don't get this and keep on following in step. History taught them nothing.
