since the best of the different leagues play each other in a tournament, it seems like decent comparison.

English Premier League is the SEC

Rank the rest........

ETA: Is MLS the SWAC?.....or worse?

I wouldn't mind getting a purple and gold kit with five stars over a symbol of Louisiana for 1908, 1958, 2003, 2007, and 2019.

No, more like:

SEC= Laliga
B1G= EPL
Big12-Serie A
ACC- Bundisliga
pac12= Ligue 1 or Dutch Eredivisie
AAC= Dutch /Ligue 1
Mountain West: Primeira Liga(portugal)

Somewhere between Sun Belt and CUSA.

That makes the European soccer leagues more like college basketball than college football. The NCAA basketball tournament is a way closer comparison to the Champions League than the four team playoff team that they have for college football.

If you think about it like that, CL is probably closer to the college baseball playoffs.

These two should be switched. Laliga is basically a two team league with Barcelona and Real. There are some other good teams like Sevilla, but none matchup to the big two. Whereas EPL has the Big 5 (From at least a financial standpoint) in Liverpool, both Manchester's, Chelsea, and Arsenal. Pool and City are running the EPL like Bama and Georgia/LSU with Chelsea, Arsenal, and United comparing to the likes of Florida, Auburn, & A&M.

I think the EPL is a deeper league.

You add Tottenham Leicester and Wolves and that’s 8 teams who can beat anyone anywhere any day.

those clubs aren't very good

Just because Liverpool ran amuck doesn't make them better. Atletico put their foot up Liverpools arse in Champions league.

And outside of Liverpool and City, none of those other epl teams would crack top 3, even 4 in Laliga.

Take those EPL rose colored glasses off.

I’d reverse these. Germany more wide open and Serie A tends to be more defensive minded. Both basically one team leagues most years though.

Serie A was actually the best and most competitive league in the world until the Calciopoli scandal destroyed the reputation of the league.
