What's the expectation for this class at safety with the commitments from Gee and Mitchell?

Obviously, Ryan is a take if he wants on board. But what would that look like for the other guys if he commits to the Tigers? Does Mitchell or Gee (or Ryan) have potential to move someplace else on Defense? Do they move to a nickle corner position? Honest question for someone more football smart than I am. 3 safeties sounds like a lot.

He was a must get before 247 changed his position. Dude is just a baller, only gonna get better with Raymond and Pelini.

LSU will sign three safeties. Dakota Mitchell, Khari Gee and Sage Ryan. Done at safety with those three.

We don't really have any standouts at S anymore. Hampton will be good & I guess Brooks could go back to S if our young LBs pan out. I'd take all 3, but wouldn't be surprised if one gets processed.

Yeah I should have looked at the current roster first. Makes more sense to take 3 since Stevens and Vincent are done after this year.

We still have Stevens back and Todd Harris is coming back from injury. And Hampton. We’re going to be just fine.

We will be losing a lot on safety after this year. Most are depth players that we are losing, but it’s been said by Shae that they plan to rebuild the safety room this year. Plus Sage can play nickel. Taking those 3 will be a good thing. It’s not a lot when you look at what we will lose this year and next.

Don’t forget Jordan Toles. He is a stud safety.

Ok well we are talking about the 2021 class. Stevens won't be on the team. Harris has promise, but he not exactly a standout.

Good point. I forgot about Toles, so yeah either Gee or Mitchell will get processed if Sage wants to sign.

I'm assuming all three are truly committed to playing for LSU. If they aren't processed, one will likely flip.

No, I don’t think that’s going to be the case at all. 3 safeties in a class is not even that many, especially considering Ryan’s positional versatility and our lack of depth there on the projected 2021 roster.

We need them all without a doubt.

You're losing Stevens, Cameron, E Monroe and K Vincent after this year.

You'll have Mo Hampton starting, but who's the other guy you're going to put out there beside him?

No they won't. We're taking all 3.
