Who said life is supposed to be safe?

I'm sick and tired of hearing and reading about people that say things won't get back to normal until it's safe. Since when is life itself safe. There are risks in everything we do. There's a chance something bad might happen everyday. There are over 330 million residents of the US, there have been close to 1.5 million reported cases of covid 19. If you do the math that's 0.45% of the population that have caught the virus. Why don't people look at the 99.55% chance that you will be fine. Instead the politicians and media want to sensationalize the bad. Open things back up and live life, it's too damn short as it is.

To think human beings fought nature to survive and thrive and build great civilizations, all so in the far distant future Karens could run HOAs are mandate every home has wood windows and has their grass cut every 2 weeks

As a genius of our time once said...life is not tried it is merely survived ...standing outside the fire

It's only short because people want to live forever and ever. Average lifespan of a Male in use is 78. If I die at 75, I've seen and experienced enough life. I'll be content to go and leave a space for the younger generation.

I didn't change anything bud that's his original. If you read the thread you'd see the OP acknowledge what he did.

We are not. The guarantee is a “time to live, and a place to die.” That is all.

Human immunity systems have disappeared in 2020, that’s why.

Compliance is mandated.

The “safety” word gets thrown around like “fair”. Both are incredibly hard to define and attorneys know it.
There is no such thing as safe or fair. They only exist in a Relative sense and in varying degrees .
Is it safe to walk? Is it safe to drive?
Both are relatively safe but it depends.
We make a determination of the safety every time we choose to walk or drive.
We all accept a certain degree of risk in our daily lives. We accept the risk of getting in a car wreck when we drive. We accept the risk of getting the flu when we go trick or treating or sit down for thanksgiving dinner every year. We make these calculations all the time.
The risk of dying from covid are incredibly low. Yet we are expected to change our entire lives because of that remote risk. Statistically, it’s absurd.
