As a former member of the LSU Football team mid 2000's,

Spring was always the time to install the offensive, defensive, and ST packages.

Physicals were also done, and each player was assessed to determine weight goals for spring ball.

Spring ball was a brutal crash course into weight training, condition, and playbook. Summer was the grind to put weight on for fall season.

Without spring ball, your'e missing 33% of the equation to get to fall start.

I can go on and on, but TLDR, either the season gets delayed or theirs no CFB in 2020.

Public Universities will apply for federal grants to compensate for the loss of revenue, and the scholarship athletes will be graced another year of eligibility.

Hoping the SEC says F' it and does a SEC specific schedule, no non conference games, with the SEC champ at ATL.

Too many chiefs.

From what I understand from Sankey, sounds like the SEC is ready to roll, no matter what everybody else is doing.

Once the November election is over this virus will suddenly become unimportant and all sports will be played.

The playing field is level. All schools in same boat. Everyone will expect a drop-off in execution/quality. Proceed.

Obviously, that could happen. But, it's retarded to think it's going to happen because teams are behind in installing the offense or defense as a result of missing Spring and Summer.

If LSU is in class and students on campus, there is zero chance football doesn't happen. Honestly, it might happen anyway. It wouldn't surprise me if the football team is on campus before the general student body.

I’m cautiously optimistic that the SEC schools will be open and will play - but the People’s Republic of California has already announced that its schools will remain closed - so everyone can work on counterfeiting more mail-in ballot forms.

All the TCU - Alabama talk makes me think California will screw everything up and everybody else will scramble to make up.

Add you to this list.
And thanks for the "insight" into spring ball. You're the only one here who played college ball. We are so appreciative. And your spring ball experience is really the deciding factor in what all of us needed to hear.
