Never been to St Augustine debating on whether to rent a car. Plan is to get in around lunch Friday and out around lunch Sunday.
Any “must do” stuff to do there that’s not corona impacted? Good spots to get food with outdoor seating?
Appreciate any help coming my way

St Augustine is awesome. Oldest kid goes to college there at flagler. Wish i had more for you but there are alot of Florida peeps on this board including my bro. I'm sure there will be plenty to help you on the things to do and places to eat.

Hit up Stoagie's at night, they usually always have live music, low key hangout place to get a beer and a cigar
Tini Martini Bar is a little nicer, though definitely not upscale, for some better cocktails
The fort is also nice to check out if you're into any history

Keep an eye on the weather there's a tropical depression/wave heading that way that may bring lots of rain this weekend.

Currently 6am to noon only, no cars, and must be for excercise use in st johns county. Normally it is pretty awesome. Unsure if the fort or what is all open right now. Only been following the beach info for fishing/parking restrictions at guana river, right across a1a from the beach.

Try The Conch House Restaurant. On the water and casual dining. All the usual seafood dishes plus lobster mac and cheese that is great. Skip the Key Lime Pie. They say it is great but I've had better many times.

I’ve been told hit the conch and cubano maybe
It was forecasting rain now it’s saying sunny and 78 Saturday. It’ll be 91 here in Georgia

Columbia Restaurant
A1A Ale Works
The hop-on-hop-off trolley is the best way to see the town. St Aug Distillery does tours.

My family lives down there.
One of our favorites is San Sebastian Winery.
San Sebastian
You can do a free wine tasting/tour. Then go up to the rooftop for excellent food, live music, great wine. The ladies always enjoy the pitchers of sangria.
Another awesome place for great cocktails is the ice House.
"Inspired by the historical period of the early 20th century, our idea is to reintroduce our guests to a time where the experience of having a cocktail and a bite to eat was both healthful and enjoyable. Focused on the art and craft of mixing exceptional local ingredients in precise measurements to create perfect and unique flavor profiles.
Fresh, house-pressed juices and a wide assortment of bitters and specially developed syrups, result in stunning cocktails. Attention is paid to the smallest of details with three different kinds of ice, including a nod to the building’s original use as an Ice Plant, with a 300lb block of ice and custom cubes.
The farm to table restaurant and bar is open for lunch and dinner. Serving grass-fed beef and burgers, local seafood, with vegetarian options and daily specials.
The original “Ice Plant” building dates back to 1927, an experience like no other in Florida. It is complete with the original bridge crane on rails overhead the bar. The crane was used to pick up huge blocks of ice to then be broken down and sold to local customers and the shrimp boats. We wanted to restore the feeling of walking into an old factory."

Man I have NO idea what’s open up there right now. Fort tour is great on a nice day, as is the lighthouse. Should be able to walk downtown a bit. I’m sure the entire downtown area is hurting right now.
Caps on the water up on vilano beach has an amazing back patio on the intercostal that may be open. Great food as well.

Florida is OPEN for business. We were at a place called sunset grille Friday night. We sat at a table adjacent to the bar. Technically you were supposed to be 6 feet apart but that wasn’t happening. Must have been 25-30 people standing around the bar drinking or trying to get a drink. 95% probably out of towners like us. Whatever is gonna happen is gonna happen in about a month. Stay tuned.

Do you know if restaurants and bars downtown are open?
Thinking about a week down there next month.
