If you're in the under $1k range, I would consider Seagull - just on the insane value.
But, whatever Fret Shack says, go with that and ignore me.

Have you considered buying used? Can get some killer deals on Reverb or Facebook Marketplace locally.

That is The Epiphone Masterbilt, it's not your standard Epiphone. They are incredible guitars. I have had that exact same model, and it is one guitar that I have always regretted trading off. They are made in China, but they use some very good materials on those, and really great quality control. It's all solid materials, hand built to the specs of an old Gibson J-45.
They are great instruments, I loved the way that guitar boomed. I keep hoping that I will come across another one at the right time. You probably will need to adjust the action when you buy it, they come set pretty high.
Other than that, I agree with Ace, It's hard to beat The seagulls.
Edit: Looks like they moved the Masterbilt production to Indonesia. That's even better.

Pandemic boredom resulting in wanting to get a new acoustic-electric <$1000. Gonna go into Guitar Center this weekend (they are open in GA) and try some stuff out, but does anyone have any experience with an Epiphone AJ-45ME LINK , or these new Martin D-X2E LINK ?
I needed a new acoustic.
I went to GC yesterday and popped $140 for a new Epiphone. No electronics, just a small, light acoustic good for playing around with in the living room.

Ended up going with a Taylor 110E. That masterbilt wasn’t going to ship until July.

A used Martin MMV can be gotten for less than $1000. One of the best acoustic values IMO.
