I don't get it either. Much prefer the Coliseum Square, City Park Triangle, or BSJ suggestions for someone in their 20s/30s.

Lived in the WHD for 5 years until last spring; amazing location if you work in the CBD obviously. Also great for Mardi Gras and having company in town/entertaining.

Rent is a pretty good deal downtown IMO. Don't have to pay the taxes/condo fees and general maintenance. And there's going to be waaaay too much supply of "luxury condos" on the market in the next couple of years; I wouldn't buy right now especially at your age.

Even bywater or Marigny triangle area

Warehouse has zero green space no parking,, meh bars, and expensive HOA. I just don’t get it.
