SIx Months Ago Today: Die-Hard LSU Fan Terminated NAS Pensacola Terrorist

You will not read or hear about this story anywhere else but local Florida media and TigerDroppings.com.
Six months ago today, on the morning of December 6, 2019, a terrorist attack occurred at Naval Air Station Pensacola. The terrorist, an aviation student from Saudi Arabia, killed three people, injured eight others including two sheriff deputies, and carried enough ammo to kill scores more.
When the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office was alerted, Sgt. Mike Hoyland, a die-hard LSU fan, acted quickly. Sgt. Hoyland led Deputy Matthew Housam and Deputy Matthew Keebler into the front of the API/IFS Building on NAS Pensacola. They did not know how many terrorists were located inside, where they were located, or how they were armed. The three men knew only that there was at least one active shooter inside, and more people would die if they did not act quickly. The three men immediately went inside. Sgt. Hoyland spotted the terrorist, was fired upon, and returned fire terminating the terrorist. Deputies Housam and Keebler joined in terminating the terrorist.
Sgt. Mike Hoyland (right) is a die-hard Tiger fan and a BAMF.
Proud of this LSU fan for risking his life to save the lives of others.

Sheriff Morgan awarded the Medal of Valor to the five deputies, one sergeant and two NAS Pensacola Captains. The Medal of Valor is the highest honor for bravery a public safety officer can receive.

I'm always baffled how these stories aren't blasted on right wing media platforms.

I don't know how many times an active foreign terrorist has been killed on American soil. Flight 93 immediately comes to mind. The NAS Pensacola should be well-known. Instead, it has been buried.

I don't know why but but the way this sentence is worded made me laugh.

Why is it that no matter how positive the story is there is always at least one asshat that downvotes it?

Dude deserves that medal and more. I don’t think he’ll get an announcement at and LSU football game but that guy is a hero.

Not sure on which media outlet I read it, but I do remember reading about the story when it happened. However, I did not know the terminator was a die-hard LSU fan.

My name’s El Campo, and I approve this message.

Wish we could focus on him today but the panhandle is burning down today.
Anyways the guy wasn't a terrorist, just a moron sissy middle easterner that got bullied cuz he's from idiotville and decided to shoot the place up. He was at the end of earning his degree when he went off. Another baby down that can't handle that people won't always be nice to you in life. Dudes a hero to the extreme for dropping him.

Someone from LSU needs to get this guy to walk out onto the field at the end of q1 for a big home game.

Glad he's a Tiger fan but at the end of the day he could root for Auburn, North Carolina or Penn State and he'd still be a hero in my book. Well done sir!

I'm going to blame that on the quarantine.

This is a fantastic story.
I do have a question, and I don’t ask it to knock Sgt. Hoyland in any way...he is a true hero in my book...but shouldn’t a base like NAS Pensacola have had Navy security folks ( SEALS ?) on the ready in case something like this happens ?
Perhaps a veteran on here ( thank you for your service) could shed some light on this.
TIA
