They're pieces of shite for chasing him and shooting him, even if he was a burglar.

Uh, no. If he was a burglar they’d be cool with me. Apprehend the guy, and when he resisted, and charged the gunman, shoot him. But that’s not what happened. They had no real evidence that this guy committed a crime. A citizen can’t just arrest someone because he suspects they might be up to no good.

Even if this guy was the burglar and even of they saw him in their house, you can not chase someone down and shoot them.

Wrong. If that guy broke into one of these guy’s houses, they witnessed it and chased him, they have the right to apprehend him, including using a gun. They can’t just shoot him to make him stop, but if they drew on him, he charged them, and a struggle ensued, there would be no crime if the perp was shot.

This does not seem to apply here, however, as no one seemed to witness this guy committing a crime.

So the property owner says he has video of someone coming on his property 3-4 times but won't release it to the police?

Apparently. And the only thing the cameras seem to show is "trespassing."

I thought this was super weird too.

In the more than seven weeks preceding the shooting, there was only one burglary report in the neighborhood, said Glynn County police Lt. Cheri Bashlor.

A 9 mm pistol was stolen January 1 from an unlocked truck outside the McMichaels' home, she said

That and all the thousands of dollars in stolen property and guns not reported to the police before this incident.

Not sure if discussed in the 53 pages of posts, but am I the only one who found it odd old dude was "out for a jog" wearing super baggy shorts and some big arse shoes. They almost looked like cargo shorts. That's exactly how I dress for my runs.

Black folks jog around my neighborhood in basketball shorts and high tops all the time. I guess I’ll start gunning them down when I see them.

Sure, but it doesn't really matter how he was dressed.

They have both been charged with murder.

A shame, they were going to be civic leaders one day.

Can't say I'm shocked to see a small handful defend probably the most blatant case of a human being murdered in broad daylight.

I saw a white couple looking thru windows of a house under construction yesterday, are they fair game too?
