Unusual that the Tigers do not seem to be in the running for any of the top DB's this clas

Seems like we get one ranked in top 50 recruits every year.

Sage Ryan will hopefully sign he’s ranked in the 30s

Ga’Quincey McKinstry is a Top DB in this class and LSU is in his Top 2

all-timer name right there

Where do you see a top 2 at ?

Shite happens when you sign two elite corners like Stingley and Ricks.
They don’t come to college to sit the bench for two years.

Not that CBs are be all end all, but LSU is not in his top 3 in CBs.
Auburn 50%
Clemson 25%
Alabama 25%

Ricks is just part of it, Flott had an amazing Fr year and after he gains some weight he'll have real first round potential, McGlothern was a 5 star before having to play WR his Senior year, and was stupid good in the UAAA game...Raydar has unbelievable measureables, Ward looked very solid in the time he played. People are just assuming Ricks walks in and takes over, (don't get me wrong,I'm super pumped about him) but CBs don't make it to LSU by bowing out because they dont want to compete with the best....We will get what we need in the secondary, right now I feel like Safety is more pressing than CB

I'm holding out for this guy.

Sage Ryan will be a beast. We’re in it for Ga’quincy from bham, just wait until we can get him to campus. There are others that we’ll be in good position for once visits get back going. Corey will end up with a killer class as always

2019 DB class is outstanding with 3 very good CBs and a very good S. 2020 Class has two CBs, one of which is the #2 ranked in the nation, and a top S. 2021 has A CB committed and leads for a top S and it's a long way to signing day.
If any spot on the roster looks solid for next few years it's DB.

ehhh....this is pretty debatable, for two reasons: (1) He hasn't even announced a top 5, let alone a top 2; and (2) Auburn has 50% CB, Clemson has 25%, and Alabama has 25%--LSU has 0%.
So i'm not really sure what you're basing your statement on.

We have Rogers committed for 2022, with Little likely (I think a silent commit) and lots of younger guys on the roster at corner.
I think we were looking at both the elite Miami DBs, and may still be recruiting Collier for S.
In state, there isn't anybody I can see as even a stretch at CB. Hilton is a kid who could switch to corner if needed and is just a dazzling athlete who only lacks size at this point.
The overall 2021 class is weak at corner. I don't see any "must take" kids at the position, except Grimes, Marshall or Mckinstry (and I think we're still recruiting the latter, but outside looking in).
The good news we're in good shape for the 2020 season with the kids we have and should lose no scholarship corner after the season.

The absolute least position of concern

2018 only had Kelvin Joseph and we all know how that panned out.

The thing to remember is that we usually bring a whole bunch of top prospects to a camp in June and then press the best ones for commitments.
All of that is out the window this year.
DB recruiting is likely to be slow-played as a result, and what's also likely is this year's crop will largely be developmental guys since it's going to be a couple of years before anybody in the group can really expect a lot of playing time.
I expect us to get Sage Ryan and Kaine Williams (I know he's getting CB's for A&M, but I don't care), and those two will probably be the safeties along with Dakota Mitchell. That's plenty good enough, particularly when they have to play behind Hampton, Harris and Toles in 2021.

LSU and Bama told kaine to wait so they could evaluate him at a camp. maybe since camps are off LSU decided to push for his commitment, but if not, i think it's going to be the aggies.

I was thinking the same thing this weekend. DBU speaks for itself though.
