Ever wanted to work for UPS/Fed Ex?

Ever wanted to work for Highway/Street department?

Ever Wanted to be a trapeze artist, walking on thin rope, while balancing and carrying items?

If yes to any of them, this is the game for you

Honestly, the story is actually really good once it gets going.

The gameplay is... well..... you’re a delivery boy. I enjoyed it for what it was, but the second I beat it I was done with it. Haven’t picked it up since and probably never will.

If you’re really into the story and don’t mind tedious run here and bring x back to y then I could see you enjoying it. Just know it’s a game you need to hack away at in hour+ portions not play 15 min here 15 min there

Death stranding is one of those games where when you watch someone play it without context, you wonder why the hell someone would ever play it.

That, probably unfairly, is what I did with the game.

You won't "get" it unless you play it.

I didn't think I would like it after reading about it, but after playing it I loved it. It's even. better now than when I played it since we are essentially in the situation Kojima created with quarantine and lockdown. It makes it even more relevant IMO, and I plan on going back for the trophies once I plat ff7:r

It was OK. You’ll force yourself to trudge through the gameplay because the setting and anticipation of the narrative is fairly compelling. You might get a little hooked on the gameplay loop of walking, building things in your network and looting, but eventually you’ll rush just to get it over with and get to the next cutscene. The presentation is just compelling enough to make you believe some big reveal is imminent and all this weird shite will make sense, like Charlton Heston finding the Statue of Liberty in Planet of the Apes and you go “Ooooooooh, we were on Earth all along!” I mean, something this wacky just has to have a pay off, right?

By the end, you’ll realize the story is fricking absurd, but at least it was an “experience” you went through. When it’s over, you’ll never touch it again. It’s a fancy version of Firewatch.

I do have to say, though, that Mads Mikkelsen’s character is fantastic. If there’s a reason to play, it’s to experience his time in the game.

Literally the most boring game you’ll ever play in your god damn life.

Don’t support Kojima and make him think he’s a better dev than he actually is. That game was horrible. Can’t believe I wasted money on that shite.

Quiet One nailed it. That was pretty much my exact progression through DS.
