Breaking: #LSU has landed a grad transfer from Harvard OL Liam Shanahan. He will count back to the 2020 class.

6-5, 270 and was an All-Ivy League selection.

Is this just a depth pickup or does he have some legitimate chance to compete for a starting job?

Moreso depth across the line, but compete with Kardell and Bradford at right guard.

This is an nice addition by our staff -

He's played in 30 games.

1st team All Ivy League in 2019
2nd team All Ivy League in 2018

He's played in 30 games over his career.

All Ivy Academic team

And..... we will now have 14 scholarship OLinemen…. which he need.

Reminds me of the Badara Traore signing. Brought in some competition for Deculus and pushed him to where he finished last year.

Guy probably won’t play a huge role, but depth and competition is always a good thing.

Could keep a true freshman from playing and wasting a redshirt.

Good depth pickup. With as many injuries, suspensions, etc., extra players are always needed.
