If you hate the idea of the economy reopening and want to stay quarantining, go ahead and stay home and quarantine!

Just don't be surprised when:

a) We stop stimulus checks and benefits because the economy is now reopened.

b) Your furloughed position has now been eliminated because an unemployed worker who wants to work has now taken your old position.

Leftists don't go for the whole concept of individuals being free to make choices. That's why they are called 'collectivists.'

I can work from home and make my own decisions on where I want to go. I don't care if businesses open back up.

People have a hard time with the whole self-responsibility concept.

Those two sentences contradict. If you decide to go play golf, go to Starbucks or go to the gym you can't because those businesses are not open.

Well aren't you special - is you business immune to the national economic condition??

Would it work in the depths of another great depression??

Don't know if you meant your post the way it sounded.

The point of the OP was that you can stay home if you want - but why wouldn't you want to the rest of the country to get back to work - or - can everyone have your type of job???

My beef is only with the "don't care" if the businesses open back up = sounds like a F.U. to me.

If not, my apology.

We’ve all been around marxists long enough to know that nothing is ever good enough unless the government is forcing everybody to do it backed by force, fines, or imprisonments.

So for leftists, the only acceptable solution is for the feds to lock everybody in their own homes, or else.

Didn't mean it like I don't care if they stay closed, I mean if they want to open up, then open up, I don't care.

What is being missed here is -just because you reopen businesses doesn't mean your customer/business level is going to return to the pre-virus level anytime soon. I don't see a segment of the population going to restaurant, flying on an airplane, taking a cruise, going to an amusement park, etc., anytime soon. Even with a complete reopen, we need to moderate our expectations.

That's for anyone, no matter what their political position is. I guarantee you there are people out there that are getting used to staying home and getting paid. They just want free stuff.

Income tax - the first peacetime income tax was enacted by Dems, and it’s a graduated tax to soothe the marxist in each of them. Mandatory and backed by the threat of garnishment, fines, and imprisonment

Social security - Dem legislation. forced confiscation and redistribution of wealth, backed by the threat of imprisonment

Medicare - Dem legislation. Called “national health insurance”, it’s forced confiscation and redistribution of wealth taken as a payroll tax. Backed by fines and jail.

Obamacare - 100% Dem legislation rammed through congress as the Dem party threatened their own members with repercussions for voting against it. So in this case, even voting for it was mandatory and backed by threats. Contains subsidies to soothe the marxist in every Dem. Mandatory and originally backed by the threat of fines, called taxes to pass court tests.

Literally every major piece of legislation proposed by the marxist party of this country (Dems) has these things in common. There is no denying it. That’s not their platform; it’s what they are: Thieves

You forgot one of the rules of being a leftist.

" if I am miserable, everyone must be miserable "

I don't disagree with opening things up, but your view is so narrow it is a little tone deaf. Some are more vulnerable, some don't have the choice to work from home, to wholesale dismiss people that may have a different set of experiences or opportunities is shallow.
