Both movies were quite excellent.
Great acting, great writing, and seemed like a great movie for the times. Not much to complain about.
What's your thoughts for both these movies?

Love both but damn that sounds like an emotionally exhausting Saturday night

What a double feature that was .
2 iconic movies in each of their respective decades
The Tiny dancer scene is one of the best scenes in the last 20 years in my opinion.
Almost famous is in my all time top 10. Absolutely love it.

The Sister Christian scene in Boogie Nights is top notch. One of the most tense climax to a movie ever.

Honestly, it kind of was. Especially Boogie Nights.

Boogie Nights is one of the best comedies of all time.

Love the Tony Dancer scene. But my favorite scene was when the plane was going down then they recovered.

When that movie came out I had a friend that would constantly Go around singing Hold me closer Tony Danza... and it’s ruined the song, and the scene, for me ever since.

Will watch Almost Famous all the way through to the end, anytime I know it's playing. I think it will always be considered a great movie
The Rollergirl character, and the rejuvenation of Burt Reynolds' career, made Boogie Nights great, but I have no desire to watch it past the awards ceremony.
ETA:Anything past that celebration in Boogie Nights is as fun as Steel Magnolias after Julia Roberts gets sick.

The same man who directed Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous at the turn of the century has since given us Elizabethtown, Aloha, and We Bought a Zoo. Way to finish strong Crowe.

Aloha is terrible. Just boring and poorly made.

Dazed and Confused is better than both.
Fight me.
Fight me.

Can't believe she didn't get naked in Californication.
About everyone other than McElhone got naked on that show.

Boogie Nights is far superior than Almost Famous.

Almost Famous made a bunch of late 90s teens nostalgic for the 60s/70s
Which I'm sure is exactly what Crowe wanted.
As an aside, Roadies really should have gotten a couple more seasons
