I see this being our main defensive alignment in 2020-2021. Starters are as follows:

DE: Neil Farrell
DT: Tyler Shelvin
DT: Glen Logan
DE: Andre Anthony/Jarell Cherry
LB: Jabril Cox
LB: Damone Clark
Rover: Jacoby Stevens
Rover: Marcel Brooks
FS: Kary Vincent Jr./Mo Hampton
CB1: Derek Stingley
CB2: Cordale Flott

That lineup will be a handful for offenses.

Todd Harris might be back starting but pretty good lineup prediction

Stevens will likely play hybrid safety and LB so it could switch to 4-3-4 as needed. Pelini’s brand of football.

Interesting to not see Elias Ricks at CB2 but Flott makes sense being he has experience

FLOTT was a hell of a freshman last year even though he obviously needed to put some weight on which he'll for sure do in the offseason....Flotts going to be really tough to move, and nobodies talking about McGlothern, he was a 5 star at one point before an injury and really looked it during the UA AA game with 2 pics, 1 pic 6, he's VERY fluid, he could end up the best CB of this class. Bottom line is DBU is STILL MF'in DBU, Fulton and Delpit this year and who knows how many next year then the goat Stingley among others, DBU is alive and well

Flott was pretty damn good. I know the waters get muddy when you compare him to a goat like Stingley, but any other year, we'd be drooling over his potential. Unless Ricks is a straight freak, it'll be Flott.

Man, you know the secondary is good when players like Todd Harris, Kacey Vincent Jr. and Mo Hampton might find themselves out of the first defense.

No doubt, I forgot about him. Anthony will probably play a lot this year too.

I'm guessing well run this look in nickel, but I expect we'll be deeper and better at linebacker than many think. Clark and Cox will be studs. Baskerville is a very intriguing talent, and Brooks simply needs to get bigger. All studs.

This defense is extremely stoud.

There is a very good 2 deep at every position with very little drop off and a couple of positions like DL and FS could easily go 3 deep.

Agree on all points, and Brooks is perfectly built to play the Rover Spot in a 4-2-5 where his main responsibility is containing the edge/blitzing. I don’t know how his cover skills are but he could cover the flats or a back out of the backfield. He’s just so talented I think he stays on the field

I know the thinking from most non-LSU fans is that we will have a talent-hole to fill but that is not the case. So much talent there.

I really like Mo Hampton. I know he struggled at the plate in baseball with his eye for the ball and his timing but his stance and mechanics are what we call "natural."

Reminds me of Chad Jones. So much coordination. So fluid. So athletic.

Still don’t understand why ppl are convinced Vincent will play the slot again next year. He’s a much better fit at FS imo flott fits the best at nickel he has great foot quickness and change of direction. Imo ricks and stingley outside and flott at nickel with Vincent playing FS

Mo Hampton proved himself to me in the Peach Bowl when he absolutely thumped Jalen Hurts and put him on his butt. Hampton is a force to be reckoned with.

Last season instead of rotating players, they rotated the DL. I would not be surprised one bit to see that trend continue. If you have the depth and the players are prepared, it's benefits are a no brainier.
