Some of the shite I saw nurses (and Drs.) do would curl your toenails

Many of them aren't doing it on purpose....they don't even realize how they are messing up and potentially harming themselves or a patient.

Ex: I would do rounding/observations on various floors. One time watched a nurse leave a patient's room that had c diff(which hand sanitizer does NOT kill so you need to wash your hands after contact with a c diff patient to wash the spores off your hands so you don't infect yourself or others). Door was open so I could see her providing care to the patient and touching stuff in the room. She wasn't even wearing gloves and a gown like she is supposed to. Left the room and didn't wash her hands at all. Then proceeded to walk across the hall and almost enter another patient's room before I stopped her and reminded her that she needed to have been wearing PPE in the other room and to go wash her hands.

I'm sure she was pissed off at me cause I called her out and now she hates infection control..but damn...do your job properly..not that hard.

How about the dietary staff delivering meal trays into contact precaution rooms without gowning or washing their hands inbetween rooms? And yet my salary/value based goal gets penalized for them...”

I can't talk for your facility but we (infection control) do teaching in all areas/departments of the hospital where I work at.

I've personally done education to dietary staff on proper ways of passing trays and what to do for contact isolation rooms.

Nursing staff should also be proactive and feel confident enough to point out to other departments when they are not following proper infection control protocols on the floors they work on.

The end goal should be to protect the patients and staff.

Get fricked. In their initial presentation to staff, they made a point to say pregnancy wouldn't be an exception and then had the audacity to tell her she should have been putting money away each check (as if we weren't doing that or it somehow made their plan any less ridiculous).

I'm glad they got their head out of their asses, but it was not the original plan.

Goddamn you're such a fricking twat.

Props for being an obsessive loser thinking you had some sort of win here with this bump.

No, you need to get fricked

They never made that statement. If they did, it was your wife’s leader that did a very very poor job of relaying message from our system leadership presentation

Which is why I told you, and the other poster told you not to assume their won’t be some exceptions

But instead of simply listening, you were a condescending dick to both us and Ochsner leadership. It made you look both foolish and petulant

Not publicly maybe, but they most certainly had a conference call about it and said exactly what I said they did.

Irrelevant. What was said was said.

You also said there was no PPE shortage and then also said they modified how they use PPE. What you say means little to me.

Why listen to you when she was literally told what I said she was? The decision was made two days ago for her to be exempt. Why would it not be made until then if that was always the plan?

Corporate shill pride strikes again.

Ummmm Ochsner most certainly said that expectant mothers would not be an exception. I had two weeks scheduled with forced gpt. It is recently (like last night) that I got a message that going forward I will be an exception but it was NOT known from the beginning. It was explicitly stated even that per original discussions those with upcoming medical leave such as pregnancy or surgery would not be an exception

I’m happy they have reconsidered there stance, but don’t act like that was the decision from the get go.

1. You complained about a company that simply made employees take gpt. The company is still paying full salary, still having merit increases, still having 401k Match. The audacity to shite on that in this time lacks all self awareness

2. You were also wrong while complaining about your situation, making you look even more petulant

Call me a corporate shill, that’s fine. I am grateful my company has been able to fully pay and keep myself and my team fully employed. Extremely grateful. And I will call out people who are shitting on them for that.

From the very get go Tracey Schiro was clear through communication there would be potential changes to the policy for medical leave

Hence, why two weeks ago, I told Lnch not to jump off a cliff

Nope. Didn't do that.

So clear it didn't make it to the employees

It is truly pathetic you thought this was worthy of a bump and a call out.

And only you would act like something being changed a week later somehow negates how it originally was.

The facts are indisputable. You can try to spin it all you want.

I told you in my first post the maternity issue was not set in stone, and I didn’t think it was correct she would be part of the gpt issue. This isn’t revolutionist history. Go check my post to you. You chose to be a dick because you think I’m just a CPA
