Standard Mapping La-1 Lowrance HDS G2 - paging seapickle or whodat514

I have a boat I'm trying to sell with an HDS Gen3 that has the LA-1 map pack. It came with the boat when I bought, has always worked. I bought a boat with an HDS gen2, and I'd like to keep the map card with the new boat on the HDS gen2. Problem is, the gen 2 doesn't seem to automatically sync up with the map on the card. It detects that there are files on the card, but it seems like they aren't the right format. The lowrance/standard mapping sites make it look like this card should work for both gens. Has anybody had experience with this before?

I have a gen 2 and have used my buddy’s card straight out of his gen 3. Did you go to charts and tell it to use the map card?

Thanks for the info, I didn't try what was in the video...but it didn't work.
I saw sea pickle and whodat514 used to make map cards, y'all still do that?

Negative...
But make sure the map setting it set to shaded relief and lowrance for map source on the unit.
