Three near misses just today and I'm not even going into what happened to me last week. Some things never change. btw I'm an essential worker, I work for a utilities company.

You can barely really tell Nola is on any type of lock down. Traffic is better at the rush hours but throughout the day it's ridiculous. I get a kick out of the dumb fricks riding around wearing masks though.
I also wonder how the frick all the ghetto queens got a hold of so many masks?

Maybe it's all you essential dumb fricks who cause all the problems.

I drive through new Orleans every day. No traffic and no accidents since the non-essentials got off the road. Needs to stay that way permanently

If your driving a bucket/line truck I can absolutely believe your story here.
I've had to drive our bucket truck on a few occasions back in the gap and I swear people think they have to pull out in front of big trucks for some resaon.

I can make your post shorter:
I'm a shite driver. I think I'm important.

If everyone in the room is an a-hole.......

There are less people on the road for sure but the ones that remain, are super aggressive/shitty. Seems like there's a lot more drunks out taking their chances too due to the quarantines.

near misses
This term irrationally grinds my gears.
If you nearly missed something, you actually did have an impact, collision, etc.

Nope. My company truck is monitored 24/7 by a tracking module/GPS that sends back data to corporate which effects my raise and employment. I have every incentive to keep my driving record clean.

Just because the shittiness of the driver is observed, does not mean you aren't a shite driver. GPS only tracks speed and location, there are a million shitty driving maneuvers that you could do that would look like regular driving to a GPS.

my parents got cameras to capture all of the bad driving. Said they were getting cut off and sped by every time they went out. Well, turns out, their reaction times have simply slowed to turtle pace.

Cornering and braking events are also recorded. Too many of those in a given time will get an employee time off without pay and loss of driving privileges for take home company vehicles. The company I'm employed by takes safety in general very seriously.
