What do you do if you have a June trial date that is still on the calendar?

i had one set in mid-May and contacted opposing counsel once the LASC shut things down on 3/22 to get her to agree to pass b/c of deadline issues that were now on the horizon. i don't know why your client wouldn't want to do something similar if they don't want you to bill right now

One insurer told me they only want me doing “essential” work, but didn’t bother to define what that means. So I’m working.

yeah i don't envy you

I wonder to what degree civil trials/matter scheduled for this summer are going to be pushed due to the inevitable backlog of criminal matters now currently on hold? In most courts the judges handle both and I could see a situation where the court decides to take a civil jury week to try a criminal case of a person sitting in jail a few extra months because his April/May (maybe even June) jury trial got continued because of this.
