I have never seen anyone open carry outside of cops and outdoorsmen. It's a bad idea. CC is superior.

School me on this. It seems like the benefit of open carry would be as a deterrent but that the benefit of CC would be that you aren't the first target of the bad guy, i.e., open carry might be a detriment in a situation where the bad guy isn't going to be deterred? Is that basically it?

Saw a woman at the Flying J on Canal Road in Gulport with a single-action revolver on each hip a few years ago.

I open carried a few times when I lived on the border. It felt super awkward, but there are a lot of open carry folks in AZ and everyone assumed that I was Border Patrol anyway.
