I am not sure. Do you think Lee (The presumed starter) will be more like Jamie Howard or more like Colt McCoy?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Never bring up JH on this board...the bad mojo that follows is irreversible!

completely different coaching staff
Jamie had superior physical skills, but Lee is in a much better situation

Better question is who was the QB who threw 4 ints for TDs that required the MAGIC to be brought BACK?

it is sad that he is only remembered for tha one game. if you know anything about football , you blame coaching for putting the ball in the air in the situation the tigahs were in. pound the fricking ball and go home with a W

Didn't a few people say that Crowton was at a function in Mobile and said that right now Hatch is a little ahead of Lee?

WTF dude? Are you really this bored? I can't wait until the season starts so that we can avoid garbage like this.

I think if you want to compare Lee to a quarterback you might be familiar with... to me he looks and moves similarly to Ken Dorsey, the old Miami Hurricanes QB. The difference is the throwing motion, though. Lee has a VERY quick release. The first time I watched Lee in practice... his release is what I noticed right away.
The other thing I noticed is that Lee is a VERY serious kid.
The last thing I noticed was that in practice, he was holding on to the ball a little too long sometimes... but that was last year, and he was still new to the playbook. I think he'll be better at this one year later.

Absolutely correct!!! To me Howard redeemed himself in '95 in helping to bring back the magic once we got rid of the moron running the program.

Do you think Curley Hallman was once a Ranter? Is that you Curley?

Is Lee more like Clarence Caesar or Greg Bowser?

Really? I thought Lee was a much better athlete and about 3 inches shorter.

Seems to me Lee is similar to Flynn, and Hatch is similar to Mauck.

Jamie Howard
Poor Jamie Howard. He was a great quarterback in high school, and could very easily have become a great college quarterback, but was thrown to the wolves as a true freshman with basically no supporting cast. The 2-9 season that resulted, along with having to run for his life most of the time, left him a little shell shocked, I think, and he never really regained his confidence after that. Making matters worse was the fact that he had to try to develop his abilities while overcoming the effects of being coached by Lynn Amedee. The combination of all of it was just too much for him to overcome and reach his full potential. He did, however, develop into a pretty good quarterback his senior year before he got hurt, an injury that ended both his football career and his professional baseball career.
I heard years later that he had started his own business and was doing well with it. I hope so. He sure went through the wringer while he was in college, but he hung in there and gave it his best shot, and was instrumental in the turnaround that occurred in 1995.
