There was a time that I did enjoy some of his antics but that was long ago. He is past his prime and needs to go out to the pasture and graze and croak.

I used to like him, too. Besides his obvious passion for the game, he was always prepared as an announcer.
Although I am not a Willy fan, I believe Vitale's repeated antics of calling out a couple of coaches and overtly lobbying for sanctions to be brought on those programs - all while overlooking his beloved blue bloods - are appalling.

But yeah, he's gone completely off the deep end. I can't imagine someone doing this in another sport-
Imagine Brent Musberger actively calling for Dabo Swinney's head, and not letting go. That would be so far out of line and inappropriate that people would demand he get fired.
What Vitale is doing, is the same thing. It shouldn't be tolerated by ESPN. That's not coverage, it's attempting to dictate the game. You can't root for a team openly, and you sure can't root AGAINST one, not if you're a national brand.
