Per White House guidance, Trump has a call at noon tomorrow with “Major League commissioners,” which is presumably pro sports league executives

Everybody get your goodbyes in for the NFL

Edit- the tweet was sent yesterday which is why it says tomorrow

I figured the college admins would fold quickly on football. But, Jerrah and Kraft and the rest of those knuckleheads are our last hope to get back to normal.

He's not going to call for the NFL season to be cancelled. NBA, NHL, and MLB are probably done though.

Well this is probably going to suck.

Doubt he's rounding them up for a conference call filled with good news.

NFL could just postpone it’s start. No reason to cancel yet.

Trump wants things to go back to normal as soon as possible. If anything he'll encourage them to try to make plans on resuming.

My guess is he's telling them not to be hasty and cancel everything too soon.

I don't expect this to be the goodbye to 2020 call. Even if Trump felt that was he would not announce the decision at this point. There is still plenty time. Basketball and baseball are another story.

Why couldn't you assume it's just a "here is where we're at, what are you doing to prepare for every scenario" type of meeting?

Trump is gonna tell NBA commissioner his teams aren’t allowed in the White House. Other leagues are okay.

I doubt trump is gonna push for the leagues to cancel. In fact I expect the opposite.

As he realizes shelter in place writ large will have to go on a lot longer than expected, he wants to get sports back up and going so people will be distracted

I’d be fine if we started the seasons with no teams from California or New York.
