I strayed at Fairmont Banff Springs. It’s nice because it’s walkable to downtown, but you aren’t missing anything by staying elsewhere. Exterior looks cool but the rooms are meh and the views are so so.

If I did it again I’d stay at the Fairmont Lake Louise. Nicer property, way better views, easier drive to the icefield parkway and moraine lake

We had both booked (originally planned this for Memorial Day), so trying to decide if still want to go that route (couple nights at each). We might end up doing a tour of all 3 (including Jasper), but the LL one looks like it'll be the most useful/nicest.

Good info about Peyto. Yeah, who knows how things will turn out but so far everything is refundable so we'll give it a go.

Hope your wife doesn’t read this.

I’ve stayed there, nice hotel.

Ask for a room in the Main hotel building, the rooms in the additions can be a fur piece away from the lobby.

I prefer Banff town over Jasper, the scenery is wonderful at either.
