Football players have the least coordination of the big 3. Baseball and Basketball players are vastly more coordinated and just as fast. Once they added the weight and strength they'd be elite.

The majority of NFL players are not position players. They are the big uglies. Those big uglies can't shoot basketballs or hit curve balls. They just big and ugly.

Good first basemen are ridiculously underrated athletes. They may not have great footspeed but the flexibility and hand-eye coordination it takes to play that position at a high level like Freddie Freeman or Anthony Rizzo is absurd.

Watching Freeman do a split and pick a throw out of the dirt makes me wince.

A vast majority of linemen are incredible athletes. Cornerbacks might be the best athletes in the world.

Mike Haynes (HOF corner) still holds the long jump record for his H.S. and he last jumped in 1971.

But to the OP's point, the best athlete in baseball is Centerfield.

CF is the most athletic generally, but there are too many non athletic guys in the other two spots to say outfielders.

Pitchers

The one singular position In all of sports that could cross over into another sport & succeed. With QB being second

Your original post was that football players are the least coordinated. Then you narrowed it down to just linemen. It’s just a dumb arse statement. Lots of fatasses in baseball as well.

That’s not true. If there are 1000 nfl players, by and large, the Majority are not skilled positions. That’s why I said “of the 3 as a whole” as i wasn’t just factoring in the minority skilled positions that the NFL has such as QB, WR, CB, RB, etc

The majority of nba are more coordinated and athletic for sure and I think coordination of an mlb player is elite and overall more mlb and nba players are more skilled for sure. They would need to add strength and weight.
