If they cancel NCAA football because of the apocalypse

On one hand, no football is bad.
On the other, LSU goes out the reigning champion.

Football should be canceled with or without a virus because of player safety. We cannot as a society continue to allow players to get injured without action. They can play madden instead

The only way I see them being able to play:
-cancel all OOC games
-cancel all bowl games except the playoff
-make a 1 year exception for an 8 or 16 team playoff
-push back conference schedule into December & play all games in consecutive weeks leading up until playoff. No bye weeks
LSU’s schedule could look something like this.
Aug 24 (1st day of school) would start a condensed 5week conditioning program leading up to...
Oct 1st preseason practice
Oct 31 OM
Nov 7 FL
Nov 14 Ark
Nov 21 Miss St
Nov 28 Bama
Dec 5 SC
Dec 12 Aub
Dec 19 A&M
Dec 26th conf championship games
January 2nd Semi playoff
January 11th CFB champ
If you go to 8 or 16, you push these down into late January

Team needs weeks to get in shape and that is just to lead up to padded practice, which can only begin 29 days before Gm1.
LSU students aren’t even in school on campus right now, much less the football team getting work in.

These universities need the football revenue to fund the other non revenue generating sports. I don't think football season will be cancelled. I Think they may attempt to shift it to the spring season to get it in if they need to.
