Any ideas on how to remove it without causing damage? It is already dried to board

How big of a splatter? And is the hardie already painted? Scrapping lightlt with a soft wood or using muriatic acid would be my first 2 suggestions.

Grinder wheel? I think they make one for masonry

I was able to get quite a bit off with a wet rag and some elbow grease. Some I had to use a plastic scraper after wetting it a bit. Some will cause a little damage no matter what. Try to to it gently. It’s a real pita.

Sulfamic acid. They use it on tile when mortor needs to be removed. Breaks the hold. I'd test a spot first.
