Wouldn't it be something if public schooling never recovers from this, after parents realize their kids finished the semester just fine under their own teaching?

Not going to happen. While there are many stay at home parents there aren’t enough. And most parents don’t want to have to do this full time.

More people will probably find out that their kids and their homelife is the real problem. In typical louisiana fashion though, they will stick their heads in the sand

Most kids will do fine. However, it’s a fairly limited duration, the parents have been given lesson plans/assignments to use, and the parents are also home all day. Success in this short term will not necessarily translate well into a long term plan

Something tells me you don't have both parents working in that scenario.
