Guess they should have invested in PPE instead of fancy glass lobbies and atriums.

Maybe they should have spent less money running around buying other hospitals.

You ever been to UNCHC? I have. It isn't exactly glamorous.

It may not appear super fancy, but they still have nice facilities. That whole area is hipster.

I know it's the wine and cheese crowd, but the hospital needs masks, none of the other stuff matters

fricking amazing that we did not stockpile these types of items. It absolutely was foreseeable that we would have a viral pandemic that attacks the respiratory system.

That's not the fault of one administration, but every last one of them.

Change my mind.

Tell them to send someone to Lowes and Home Depot.

FDA changed the regs.

a lot of things will change for the better next time around

I think we should think about government buildings we can switch to local "tent" hospitals in times like this...

High schools would be a good choice...lots of rooms to separate patients..

we should have ventilators and other equipment already stored in these facilities...so next time, we go right to it....

why this is getting downvoted is beyond me

are we so jacked up that we are snarky about a hospital asking for help?

yeah, this board sometimes doesn't make a lot of sense

maybe they aren't downvoted what I posted but rather it's showing it's a bummer we need masks? dunno

This board assumes that everyone who works at UNC is a libtard deserving of their fate.

probably true, and to be honest, this friend is a liberal millennial who hates Trump...

but he's still an ok guy..

none of that matters...I just want to help because we're talking about people who serve the sick

Hospitals, Dr. offices, dentists, ect. don't stock pile because everything medical has an artificially short expiration date on it. N95 masks don't go bad. Tongue depressors, cotton balls, gloves, etc. don't go bad but they get relatively short expiration dates.
