Anyone have any knowledge on this? Any bar owners on here?

No idea. Will be interested to see what others have to say. Restaurant and bar activity is fricked.

Yes up here in MA. My finances will be fine, the real victims here is our 75+ employees up here in MA who we effectively had to lay off because all restaurants had to cease operations as of yesterday. I really hope the government can get their act together and give some sort of compensation to those who can't work for no fault of their own.
It's upsetting. We will be closed at-least until the 7th of April. That being said, we're lucky we're in a strong financial position and look to help our employees where we can.
I just hope we can get back to normalization sooner than later.

From who should these come?
FedGov should not be propping anybody up at the expense of the taxpayers.

Most would agree. Too bad the Government actually picks winners and loser though.

Remember, the government shut the business down (while leaving others open). That's what makes it different.
I am very curious where this comes out legally, and I wish a lawyer who practiced takings law and the like would chime in. Unfortunately, as I understand it, that is pretty specialized work and we likely don't have a lawyer who does it. I should google around.

Lol what a fricking tool.
Folks were forced to close their doors. You think it would be ok for this scenario to hammer the small businesses of this country?

I think it sucks but offloading business risk onto Joe taxpayer is not a solution, it never should have been done in 2008 either.

You obviously don't own a small business affected by the FedGov's and local Gov's actions. Not only does this hurt food places but this affects businesses that rely on foot traffic. These are extenuating circumstances.

good thing trump is smarter than you dude

So, fed forcing people to close their doors. You think there should be any consequences for businesses who refuse to comply? If you aren’t going to assist people, you risk them not complying. Why comply with rules that will ruin you? And then what, you gonna enforce these social distancing measures with boots on the ground?
You think we are gonna be saving money if we let everyone go under? You think that’s what is best for the country??
Your viewpoint is one of pure ignorance.

Holy mother of assumptions Batman.
Again how do you want to pay for this?
Perhaps SBA loans are the lowest hanging fruit.

Why dont you address the question rather than lashing out like a child?
Who should pay for it?

They will have to check their policies, but most will file claims with their business loss insurance provider. These losses may be covered by contingent business loss, but we may see some that filed under first party property policies.
