Can you imagine if Disney secretly buying up huge chunks of central Florida farm land happened today. The negative press would be unreal- "huge corporation taking advantage of poor farmers to build a huge money making theme park."

CHK doesn't owe these hayseeds squat. If the hayseeds don't like CHK, don't let them buy up their lease, how hard is that?

Exactly what is wrong with America. Lots of people think someone owes them something. CHK doesn't owe anybody anything.

Cut the royalties back to 3/16. People need to quit getting people stirred up thinking every soddin' piece of land up there is worth $20k an acre. I leased for 1/4 of that and a week later found I could have gotten more. So what?? No one twisted my arm and I made the best decision I could based on the info I had at the time.
I tend to live my life looking to the future..not dwelling in what 'could have been' in the past. Miserable way to live.
Having said that..go HS! Like tigerdog said; everyone take a deep breath. Its all going to turn out alright.
