Louisiana's 20 casinos are shutting down at midnight Tuesday for two weeks to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, according to the state's gambling board.

Ronnie Jones, chair of the board, issued the order Monday. The closure period is for at least two weeks.

Jones said video poker truck stops haven't been shut down yet.

In other news: Shreveport has decided to cease existence permanently. Mayor Adrian Perkins said in a statement, "why even bother now?"

I wonder if this applies to Indian Casinos? Do they follow State, Federal, or their own Tribal law??

Are there 20 casinos in Louisiana if you don’t count the Indian ones?

Not anymore for the time being.

Add Mississippi to the list of states closing casinos...

Also, 2 Louisiana tribal casinos, Cypress Bayou in Baldwin, and Coushatta in Kinder are both closing too.
