I posted a few months ago about me and 7 buddies from all over the country coming to Tiger Stadium for the biggest game of the season. Many of you were gracious to give us great info on tailgating, bars, etc. As the season approaches we need some advice about securing tix. I don't expect to get 8 together but any advice about ebay, stubhub, brokers, message board sales, etc. would be appreciated. We are expecting this will be a tough and expensive ticket.

Thanks

i would definitely look for something online in advance...you may find it hard to believe but its really hard to find tickets outside the stadium for big games.

try the ticket exchange board on this site. you might find at least a couple.

ebay would be the best bet, avoid stubhub, prices get way too high on there.

it is worth the trip to come anyway, with or without tickets. this sounds hard to believe, but it is true.

but, there are FAR more scams on Ebay than on stubhub. Stubhub is much safer, but you do pay for the safety.

Sounds like mission impossible! Best advice would be to make an offer that can't be turned down!

Why not continue tailgating with your new friends and watch it on their TV?

You will be able to get tickets outside the stadium, even for a big game. It will take a while and there's no need to start early (the day of the game, that is). You may have to miss the very beginning of the game and you certainly won't get 8, 4 or maybe even 2 together, but you can get tickets, in my opinion. That's been my experience. When gametime gets closer the number of tickets in people's raised hands increase while the numbers of empty raised hands decrease.

Whatever you do, buy the tickets as early as possible. The closer it gets to the game the more hype builds up and the ticket prices will skyrocket. Especially if we're both ranked in the top 10. Good luck, you will not regret spending a lot on the tickets. and

There are a number of ticket exhanges out there. Here is another...

As the game approaches you may get lucky.

Well I know Dale Brown is a good friend of John Wooden ;)

One place you could try is the University of Georgia Athletic ticket office if they get cancellations for the LSU game;
Or the Georgia fan web sites - just tell them you are Georgia fans or not LSU fans - I'm sure they would not want the enemy sitting in the Georgia section :)
Try the Atlanta Journal Constitution NP and/or their web site in the classifieds or 'tickets wanted' section.

Also:

dandydon.com ticket exhange (free site)
tigerrant.com ticket exchange (free site)
The Times Picayune - N.O. newspaper or Web site
The Morning Advocate - Baton Rouge NP or Web site

There are also 2 pay sites that you could ask someone to peruse their ticket exchanges for you:
tigerbait.com
tigerroar.com

Also google "college football tickets" and see what comes up besides stubhub and e-bay...

I live in MN and have purchased tickets for two to four Tiger home games in Baton Rouge. I bought two sets from Stub Hub and two sets from Ticket Liquidator.

Those tickets may be more expensive that ones that could be found on eBay, but I don't think that they were terribly that much more expensive. I cjose those sources because they were reliable in the past. There have been problems with counterfeit tickets purchased on the Internet, but I have not experienced that disaster.

You are going to spend quite a bit on travel and accommodations. Don't be stopped at the entry point to Tiger Stadium because your tix are phony!!!!

I would say this too, email DandyDon and he might be able to help you out. Who knows, it won't hurt.

I have used both also with success. Why gamble on not having tickets while trying to find bargains?

Hey PAC10visitor, do us a favor. After you and your friends come here and have the time of your lives, please spread the word...there are still too many nonbelievers out there.

I hope you're able to get into the stadium and truly experience the greatness that is "DEATH VALLEY"!

Craigslist all the way! You can get just about anything on there. Normally, you can find a fellar or two selling their tickets at face value; because, they can't go. That's how I went to this years Daytona 500.
