No one with any sense that is for Trump now is going to flip to Biden or Sanders because of this.

If it’s trusting Joe Biden with your families lives in a situation like this, with the Press all in, think it really helps Trump

It’ll never get the pride it deserves from the media, but Trump/Pence’s planning is pretty good so far

More deaths than the flu, then it will hurt.

Currently: 61
Need: 20000

19939 deaths to go

I'm not at all. In 2-3 months when our numbers aren't remotely close to Europe's, he can blast his success from the rooftops.

The economy will bounce back quickly

Assuming the US comes out of this quickly and without much destruction (deaths), which all signs point to strong possibilities, no one will stop his re-election.

When rational people think how Trump has handled this crisis vs how any of the dems candidates would, there is your answer. Of course the key word is rational.

I would be willing to wager a huge sum this will not hurt Trump in November.

You can't blame someone for something not within his control. People tend to keep Presidents that are in office in times of crises. And they will view him as the only President that can get the stock market back on par since he's the only one that has shown he can make it climb at meteoric levels.

Why would you choose someone ELSE to manage this? Imagine if someone else had been in office that couldn't get the market to climb like he did.

Depending on when we “defeat” the virus, it could actually provide a tremendous political dividend

Stores reopening, hospitals seeing a fall in cases, a bending of the curve, etc

Around July or August, we could be acting like we just won a war.

A “summer of recovery” in a way.

Rally around the flag, etc

In fact, the two weeks paid leave may even flip some voters to trump...whether you agree with it or not.

If he can get the economy back in swing by early election, he'll be good.

Otherwise, it's gonna be close

It won't hurt him at all. Anybody blaming TRUMP for a virus is a person who wasn't going to vote for him anyway.

This will be long gone, the economy will be making people rich again.

The dems, once again, have celebrated waaaayyyyy too early.

Americans are fickle, we have time for this and another pile of shite to be laid at the Presidents feet, and still be ok.
