I'm gonna take out huge loans to gamble. If I lose, take new loans to cover the losses and try again. Checkmate banks.

Eh, what I’d really like is a world where the fed doesn’t exist, or doesn’t have the power they do now.

Jamie Dimon. His politics are suspect but there’s no denying that he’s the best and most capable of leading the Fed.

Trumps statement was stupid.... you think he’s doing a terrible job and have the authority to remove him, yet you won’t.

The longterm ramifications of negative rates on inflation really worries me.

Something has to give, but I don't agree with negative interest rates.

ETA: spelling.

The Fed has already signaled that they will be lowering rates to either 0 or 0.25 next week. Trump is just saying this so that when they do lower them he take take credit for persuading the fed to lower rates. Which of course isn’t true, but the bulk of the population knows to little about monetary policy to call him on it.

It’s a skeevy tactic, and it further erodes the separation of the fed from politics, which is the last thing we want. This is the one area where Trump’s need to control every narrative is deeply harmful to our economic system.

She’s a gold standard anti-federal reserve advocate. Sounds good to me!

Yes he already was essentially the acting treasury secretary in ‘08 when Paulson was stumbling over his feet.
