Yes. Here. They’re gods in England.

God bless the Kinks. The only band I own a t-shirt for.

yes, most underrated of all time. In the early sixties they were writing stuff as good or better than Who or Stones.

All the houses on the street have got a name
'Cause all the houses in the street they look the same
Same chimney pots, same little cars, same window panes
The neighbors call to tell you things that you should know
They say their lines, they drink their tea, and then they go
They tell your business in another Shangri-la
The gas bills and the water rates, and payments on the car
Too scared to think about how insecure you are Life ain't so happy in your little Shangri-la Shangri-la Shangri-la la la la la la la la la
It's crazy that Ray Davies was as close as it gets to becoming a victim of New Orleans 'CULCHA

I saw them at the Baton Rouge Centroplex inthe early 1980's. Louisiana's LeRoux was the opening act and most folks left after they finished their set. Unbelievable, but the Kinks put on a marvelous show.

Strangers is a Dave song. I agree, it’s beautiful.
Power man from the same album is also a tremendous song.

"The Village Green Preservation Society"
Classic live version from a 1973 BBC-TV appearance. The addition of a horn section gives it nostalgic quality.

If forced to choose one lost Kinks Klassik, I think it would have to be this:
"The Way Love Used To Be"

They’re pretty well appreciated, so I wouldn’t necessarily say underrated.
