Maybe that idea sticks for future years.

Top-seeded Crescent City Christian will now have to play its Division IV state championship game Saturday against Calvary Baptist at 6 p.m. in Baton Rouge, not at home in Metairie at 7 p.m.

The LHSAA has ceded to the request of Calvary Baptist to move the game out of Metairie because persons in Jefferson Parish have tested positive for COVID-19.

LHSAA voted to continue playing without a 2 week break that would be self-imposed by the Association. When JBE closes schools, that's it for the LHSAA. They don't have any jurisdiction then.

"Without" a break? Did you mean "with"? Otherwise, what would they be self imposing? To just continue as normal?

Catholic BR just announced postponement of season effective now.

Looking at their schedule, they were playing Barbe tonite and then Live Oak tomorrow with possible tourney championship games later tomorrow. If the ruling turns out to be the schedule is suspended AFTER tomorrow, are those games forfeited? Or maybe they already know what the ruling will be later today?

From the Governors twitter:

Today, I signed a proclamation that immediately halts any gathering of more than 250 people until Monday, April 13, closes all K-12 public schools statewide effective Monday, March 16 and also moves upcoming state elections. #lagov #lalege

So, play the games and limit the fans?

Episcopal and Dunham are supposed to play III state championship game tonight. It is sold out--probably 1000 tickets or so. Wonder if it is still on

I’m certain this has already been brought to his attention. The LHSAA wouldn’t have moved the Calvary-Crescent City game on Saturday without assurances they could play it.
