The countries around world have to cut China off from their economy. They have become the world's manufacturers and are essential to the economies around the world.

The world has given them full power to a country that abides by no regulations. They have a dictatorship as a government, where all companies answer to that dictatorship and release any information requested to them by force. They encourage the stealing of intellectual properties and pump out illicit drugs as weapon aginist other countries (Fent). They abide by no rules respect no treaties and any county that does buisness with them knows eventually will be bitten. With the world's economic down turn, will it finally be the wake up call needed. There are so many more viable options to take their places such as SE Asia, India, and African nations. Places where we can continue to use the cheaper labour and grow but instead install a fairer system which we control due to the major boost it will give to their economy.

Sadly I believe business would rather keep short term gains while getting fricked in the long run. China has always played the long game while everyone else wants instant gratification.

Smells like some kind of Big Government type of interference in the market.

It's fricking ridiculous we do so much buisness with a country who we know constantly steals, lies, manipulate, and we know our treaties won't be honored. Yet it just constantly gets ignored. They gave fricking tax breaks on fent production exports when Trump started a trade war. They started chemical warfare on us but we still want to work with them.

The title of the thread is:

The world needs to cut China off

Can you please explain how this might be done in the context of the free market buying and selling goods manufactured in China?

It seems to me that if you have a producer undercutting everyone else's prices, you wouldn't want to simply use another producer out of some sort of ideological disagreement.

Buy low, sell high, profit. Where is "boycott China" in that equation?

China's not the problem, they're just merely a vessel of cheap labor. The real problem is a lack of diversification in the global supply chain.

Social engineering works to tell people how to think. Why not help them along about what/how to buy.

China is a problem because they lack so many regulations. They dont punish stealing of intellectual properties they encourage it. They dont honor trade deal they look for ways around it. They manipulate all the numbers they can to favor them. China is a major problem but people are scared of short term drops for long term gains. China can take those chances because they are a dictatorship and all companies answer to the government.

We need a Green tax/tariff on all imports into the country. The money made on the tax would go to a solar panel programs for residential homes. Republicans get more products made in the US and democrats get to save the environment.

obviously allowing free market capitalists to produce anywhere in the world allowed them to move to china to take advantage of cheap labor. Haveing a central power like the US government legislating that factories have to be located in the US or anywhere is opposed to the free capitalist model. China welcomed these production centers especially of critical goods, steel and automobiles to increase its economic and strategic military strength. Obviously we are seeing disadvantages of the globalist neoliberal movement that both parties support fyi and us progressives have been warning about for decades.
