I don't know about the best, but I love the chargrilled at Mansur's. You can sit in the bar and eat those while you watch them grill.

With a damn fine wine list. They also have an impressive selection of older vintages that aren’t on the list—just ask.

I’m starting the day with a double negative but I’ve never not loved them wherever I’ve had them. And that’s a problem, I really don’t understand it- but iirc they are basically butter, garlic and parm yet every place that I’ve been to outside of LA does some version of Rockefeller or Bienville. I’m not saying those two (done well) aren’t awesome but I’m always amazed that Cajun restaurants that spring up in these parts don’t do a simple perfect dish of chargrilled oysters.
