I’m putting it here because he needs to be our next coach ASAP. Bonus is he and Langdon worked together.

Thats a shocker...

He's gotta be a top choice now, he took a young team last season and they way overachieved

Fort thing I thought. Huge disappointment I’d the pelicans don’t make a playoff push and don’t pursue Kenny..

Fire gentry now!!! And hire him. If we don’t change this offseason I’m done.

This is our guy. From the D'antoni and Bud trees.

Nets improved every year under him. Still has them competitive every night with $50M in cap space injured.

Pace and space kinda guy.

Why now? They won last night and are the 7 seed. Did he piss off Kyrie and KD?

Wow, I had him pegged as one of the great up and coming coaches. Was big on him before we hired Gentry.

Unless there is some serious internal issues ala Mark Jackson, he has to be on the short list of Langdon/Griffin hires if we move on from Gentry.

He has been a PG savant and him getting to help Lonzo take the next leap would be incredible.

Listening to NBA radio they saying that a change in the offseason was going to happen, and they are speculating it's all because Kyrie doesn't like him, so Kenny decided to leave now rather than wait till the offseasom

Fine by me, Kyrie is cancer and is going to drag that once promising organization down, and if it now means the stars align and we can replace Gentry with Atkinson, great!

Wow.

Would be #1 on my list. And you have to think he would want this job if available.

Yeah, probably mine as well.

I was discussing at work how it feels like their aren’t any surefire assistants out there like there were when we fired Monty, guys like Atkinson that you just saw their potential pushing through(could just be my ignorance in not knowing enough assistants though)....Now he’s back on the market and I suspect it won’t be too hard to convince Atkinson that a team with a moldable point guard with limitless potential, an all star forward, and the best young prospect in nearly a decade is more appealing than anywhere else he could go....Assuming we are interested.

They are currently the 7 seed with injured superstars. This is a really weird move.

Not just #1 on the list, Langdon needs to get him verbally committed now before other teams start sniffing around. Atkinson is the proven version of the young up and coming assistant most of us are hoping to take a chance on.

It’s Kyrie. The weirdest dude in all of basketball. He’s a cancer and a loser. And since he has a guaranteed contract, if it’s him or the coach he wins.

Send Kenny our way.

We will find out here if Grif has any balls to part ways or demote his buddy uncle Al

That's good news if true. Kyrie is a small-minded egomaniac. Langdon needs to be calling him before noon.

Yeah, apparently Kenny was one of the reasons Durant decided on Nets. It has to be Kyrie.

Kenny had/has Dinwiddie, Lavert, Dlo etc playing at such a high level.

Langdon worked with Kenny also, so we could have the inside track to landing him, with Al moving to the front office and Kennny taking over at HC

Or have him fail upwards which is what most of us expect.

Jesus, just imagine Kenny doing for Naw and Lonzo what he did for Brooks(MIP in 2010), Jeremy Lin(Linsanity), Teague(One dimensional scorer into an all star), Dinwiddie(one of the best all around glue guards and a borderline all star), and Russell(completely revived his career).

This is just proof that the basketball gods have decided to bless this franchise since Griffin signed...Just hope we don’t let this miracle walk away. Atkinson can and should be our Pop/Kerr/Carlisle/Nurse/Buddenholzer.
