That's the only possible number. I don't get what's confusing about this?

edit: oops I forgot about the rule of 3's. There's no correct answer as 46 isn't divisible by 3. The number has to end in a 2 or a 7 based on the 5+2 rule. 42 or 47 are the only possible answers based on the 5+2 and 40-50 rule but neither 46 nor 41 are divisible by 3.

What about the counting by 3 and having 1 left over part?
