My guess is NOLA will make it illegal to record a crime being committed before they would allow you to shoot someone for committing a crime.

If the above was legal and well publicized, not only would car burglaries cease, odds are no one would actually be shot. At least not after the first such incident.

Extra .02: City cameras are only used to catch “criminals” who can pay traffic fines.
Door cams are useless if laws have no consequences.

Yep but you know what they always say.
"A car isn't worth taking a human life."\

Of course they conveniently forget that car jackers and other robbers will gladly take YOUR life.
If some thug is breaking into ones property, their rights are forfeited the minute they chose to commit that crime.
